Gamer and streamer MonotoneTim used a little technological wizardry to really get into character as Link. Using an actual ocarina as a controller, he took on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and played through the game in a six and half hour stream. Initially, he struggles to get the controls down as different notes function as directional controls and buttons.
By the time Tim gets to the first boss, he seems to a better grasp on the controls. Due to the limitations of the ocarina mapping, though, Tim can’t use an item while moving at the same time.
Players have previously mapped a guitar controller to play Bloodborne and a drum controller to play Destiny.
